BMW X7

BMW X7 Overview The BMW X7 is the brand new flagship SUV from the German automaker and features a new design language and more importantly, the biggest kidney grille ever seen on any BMW product ever! The new BMW X7 is 9 inches longer than the BMW X6 and just barely 3 inches shorter than a regular wheelbase BMW 7 Series making it the biggest SUV ever made by BMW. The BMW X7 will be a seven seater SUV, a first for BMW. The X7 can also be speced out in a 6 seater configuration. The new BMW X7 can also be speced in a six seater configuration and in all probability, that version is likely to make it to India too especially considering the fact that the X7 will cater to a clientele that would prefer captain seating in the centre row. The BMW X7 will also come with a three-part panoramic sunroof and will get a twin 12.3-inch screen setup for the instrument cluster and the infotainment display. The dashboard design is futuristic yet very familiar in terms of overall la...

2020 LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR S

Image
OVERALL VERDICT Aventador gets a new lease of life, one that’s done nothing to unstitch the essence of Lamborghini, but a lot to smooth it out. FOR:  Stellar engine, improved agility, sense of occasion. AGAINST:  Clunky gearbox, understeers in the wet, heavy. Overview What is it? It’s almost six years since Lamborghini introduced the Aventador to replace the Murcielago. Six years and although we’ve had a hot one (the SV) and one with lift out roof panels (the Roadster), the LP700-4 has otherwise soldiered on while around it the supercar market has changed beyond all recognition. The Holy Trinity have been and gone, and in pretty much the same period McLaren has gone from a standing start to having a three model range with LT this, Spider that and GTR gor-blimey. What’s been occupying Lamborghini? Well, the Huracan obviously, plus SUV dithering and a bunch of diversionary one-offs such as the Egoista and Sesto Elemento. But Lamborghini can get away with this because there’...

Lamborghini Huracán Evo

Lamborghini Huracán Evo Photos- Prev Next Full screen 1 /20 OVERALL VERDICT The Huracán Evo is heaving with hot new tech, yet somehow feels more organic. It's also alarmingly easy to drive very quickly. Overview What is it? There has never, ever been a boring Lamborghini, but the original Huracán was arguably just too competent for its own good. In the realm of the super sports car, this might sound like heresy but somewhere in the matrix between its all-wheel drive, inert steering and admittedly wondrous 5.2-litre V10, it could feel a bit, well,  Matrixy . Synthetic. Cars like these always find extra levels during their lifespan and sure enough the rear-drive Huracán and most significantly the Performante ramped things right up. Which probably explains why the latter is the jumping off point for the Huracán Evo, a logical move (if a little bit galling for anyone still waiting to take delivery of their Performante) as Lamborghini’s biggest seller – more than 10,000 s...

BMW M5 COMPETITION

Image
Overview Don't call it a comeback. The BMW M5 has been here for years. However, the latest generation is rocking its peers and putting fear in the hearts of other sports  sedans . Uncorking 600-plus horsepower from its twin-turbo V-8, the 2020 M5 accelerates with unbridled ferocity. Its standard all-wheel-drive system can even send all that power to the rear wheels for drivers who like to hang out the tail. Indeed,  BMW  has reinvented an icon that had become almost unrecognizable. While the M5 is still a big luxury sedan loaded with high-tech gadgetry, it now has a maniacal side that lately has been missing from the company's  storied M division What's New for 2020? For 2020, BMW makes small changes to the M5 lineup that include new standard equipment and a  limited-run M5 Edition 35 Years . Every model now comes with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, real-time traffic info, remote services, and wireless device charging. Th...
